Halifax give thanks to departing players

HALIFAX have announced which players have left the club, head coach Richard Marshall has thanked them for their time at the club.

Ryan Boyle, Rob Worrincy. Alex Mammone, Martyn Reilly and Luke Nelmes all leave the club to find pastures new.

Head coach Richard Marshall said of the departures: “Ryan and Rob have been great servants to the club. Rob has come back and really helped us this year, and Ryan with his outstanding work in the community, both are great professionals who will benefit a club wherever they go.

“We are looking to promote from our reserves, that’s why it’s so important for us to run them and what we may lose in terms of experience, we now gain with youthful energy and enthusiasm. Both Ryan and Rob took moving on with real class and we would like to wish them all the very best in their future endeavours.

“Alex had a frustrating season with injury and form but he certainly showed potential and fitted in with the club well. We must thank Damien and Lorraine Clayton for housing Alex and for making him feel so at home. Both parties agreed that Alex needs some more time to develop and he also wishes to travel around Europe, we wish him well.”
