Boyle speaks after signing for Doncaster

DONCASTER have recently signed Ryan Boyle from Kingstone Press Championship side Halifax.

Having agreed a two year deal with the League One club, he insists that while he had other offers on the table, he thought that joining the Dons was the right thing to do.

He said:  “It’s pleasing to have signed, we’re back in training nice and early this year as well so I won’t have to wait too long before I get to meet all the lads.

“I had a few options to stay in the Championship but with my job changing off the field I wanted to be around the Doncaster area to suit my commitments. I can be settled now and not have to do too much travelling when it comes to games, I like the club’s ambition and the things that Richard Horne and Carl Hall have planned.

“The club excites me, I told my agent that the Dons were the club I wanted to sign for and if we could get the deal done then this was the place for me. I spoke to Richard Horne and he explained that we’ve got some quality players here and we’re looking to give promotion a real push.

“I’ve got quite a lot of experience so I will look to use that to get us through the close games and act as a leader out there on the pitch.”
